We have dreamed of having our wee shop for so long, but in the dream, the plan was always the same... find the shop, ask our favourite local artists and makers if they would like to feature in the shop... We were over the moon when they agreed!

Find out more about them on this page and I'm sure you'll understand why we are so thrilled to have their work in Kat 'n' Kat.

Madeleine Hand -

Having graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1981, Madeleine has since has numerous exhibitions across the UK.

An artist with a strong local following, Madeleine's prints and cards are in constant demand, her Dunkeld Map and Allotment prints are seen on many a wall in the village.

Her work is constantly evolving yet she retains a distinctive style, her pictures have a magical romance a sense of movement and a depth you could almost step into.

Among her many commissions, Madeleine designed the illustrations for Perth Festival of the Arts, a promotional poster for Ivor Cutler and for our very own Dunkeld Craft Collective.

Linda Farquharson -

A graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone, Linda has been specialising in linoprinting and wood engraving since 1986.

Her prints are full of character, beauty and charm, inspired by the outdoor world and Goddess Mythology.

In the short time we have been open we have sold out of her cards several times already and we regularly request replacements for her beautiful limited edition prints.

Recently featured as one of Scottish Field magazine's 'Six of the Best - A Collection of Artisan Designers',  Linda is well recognised as an expert in her field  -  a recent commission to illustrate stamps for the Royal Mail in their Romantic Poets series earlier this year is evidence of this, followed up by receiving the Fresh Awards 2020 - Illustration Gold awarder the stamps. Well done Linda, well deserved.

Station Cat Pottery -

Again, a popular local maker, Fiona creates fantastic pottery pieces which are instantly recognisable.

She uses 'discarded things' from around her farm to create fun and colourful characters and unique pieces that always make us smile!

Colourful Bunting, wee beasties made from old nails, recycled Horseshoes and lots more there really is something for everyone.

Fiona has been creating and selling her work around Scotland for many years, she has been a long standing member of the Dunkeld Craft Collective and previously with her husband ran the famous Logierait Markets.
